Chester A. McCalley attended Bob Jones University and Dallas Seminary, graduating with a Master’s degree in biblical languages. He also completed additional graduate studies. In 1960, after leaving Dallas, he returned to Kansas City, Missouri, where he was raised, and founded Beth Haven Church. He dedicated his life to the comprehensive and accurate exposition of God’s word. His teaching throughout these years at Beth Haven has been recorded for the use of believers here. In 1982, as an outgrowth and response to the need for good, sound, doctrinal teaching everywhere, Word of Truth was formed. Word of Truth is a not-for-profit corporation that was founded in order to provide believers with doctrinal Bible study materials in the form of audio lessons and literature. These materials are meant to help believers learn and understand God’s word so its power to guide can be applied to every decision faced in daily living. Early in the morning of May 11, 2000, Chester went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We intend to continue the mission of Word of Truth and make Chet’s Bible study materials available on a grace basis, just as he always insisted.
